02 / Professional checks
Registration, relevant specialist qualifications and experience with a proposed treatment are separate details to establish.
The Medical Chamber of Slovenia provides a search for doctors with valid licences. Use the proposed surgeon’s surname and licence category, then check the exact specialty and current operating arrangements directly with the clinic. A public hospital department, private consultation office and surgical facility can be separate locations. Ask which service is suitable for your concern and whether a referral is needed. For an elective procedure, discuss alternatives, anaesthesia, scars, recovery and who will provide postoperative review. Request a written quotation covering the hospital or clinic fee, anaesthesia, materials and follow-up rather than relying on a starting price. Slovenia uses the euro. Directory inclusion is informational and is not an endorsement or a licence verification of an individual doctor.
Search the surgeon’s surname and licence category and confirm current specialty details with the Chamber.
03 / Consultation planning
Check the published office city. Ask whether consultation, surgery and follow-up use the same facility.
City worksheets use EUR. Confirm the quote’s currency, taxes, inclusions and exclusions; no local treatment prices are estimated.
Currency reference ↗Discuss alternatives, important risks, aftercare and practical support directly with the treating team. Use international resources for further questions.
