02 / Professional checks

Begin with the right questions.

Registration, relevant specialist qualifications and experience with a proposed treatment are separate details to establish.

FNOMCeO national medical register

Open the official resource ↗

In Italy, use the FNOMCeO national register to check the clinician’s identity and medical registration, and contact the relevant territorial medical order if specialist details need clarification. Registration as a doctor and membership of a plastic-surgery society are different matters. Ask for the exact qualification in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and the experience relevant to your proposed procedure. Confirm whether the advertised address is a consultation office or the operating facility. Request an itemised euro quotation, anaesthesia information, a written follow-up plan and the arrangements for unexpected complications. Discuss realistic outcomes and alternatives during a clinical consultation before choosing an operation or committing to travel.

Check the doctor’s registration and ask the territorial medical order about the relevant specialist qualification.

03 / Consultation planning

Prepare before you commit.

The actual location

Check the published office city. Ask whether consultation, surgery and follow-up use the same facility.

Your written quote

City worksheets use EUR. Confirm the quote’s currency, taxes, inclusions and exclusions; no local treatment prices are estimated.

Your care arrangements

Discuss alternatives, important risks, aftercare and practical support directly with the treating team. Use international resources for further questions.
