Begin with the right questions.

Registration, relevant specialist qualifications and experience with a proposed treatment are separate details to establish.

Cyprus Medical Council

Open the official resource ↗

The Cyprus Medical Council maintains the medical register and recognises doctors’ professional qualifications. Ask the treating surgeon for their full registered name and evidence of the relevant recognised specialty; a professional-society profile is a separate source of background information. Clarify which consultation address and operating hospital will be used, since several practices work at more than one location. Request a written explanation of the proposed procedure, alternatives, anaesthesia, expected limitations and follow-up. Obtain an itemised euro quotation and ask who will assess urgent postoperative concerns. If travelling, agree the review schedule with the clinical team before arranging the return journey.

Confirm current physician registration and recognition of the relevant specialist title with the Council.

03 / Consultation planning

Prepare before you commit.

The actual location

Check the published office city. Ask whether consultation, surgery and follow-up use the same facility.

Your written quote

City worksheets use EUR. Confirm the quote’s currency, taxes, inclusions and exclusions; no local treatment prices are estimated.

Your care arrangements

Discuss alternatives, important risks, aftercare and practical support directly with the treating team. Use international resources for further questions.
