02 / Professional checks

Begin with the right questions.

Registration, relevant specialist qualifications and experience with a proposed treatment are separate details to establish.

Bulgarian Medical Association — national register

Open the official resource ↗

The Bulgarian Medical Association provides a public national register containing physician names, identification numbers and professional information. Use it to check the proposed surgeon and the relevant specialty, then confirm the operating location and arrangements directly with the clinic. Aesthetic dermatology, otolaryngology and plastic-reconstructive surgery cover different work; match the clinician’s documented training to your planned procedure. Ask whether consultation and surgery take place at the same address and who provides anaesthesia and postoperative care. Request a written, itemised quotation and a plan for complications and later reviews. Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026, so the worksheet uses EUR. Old lev prices should not be treated as a current offer.

Search the surgeon’s name and specialty and check current registration details with the relevant regional college.

03 / Consultation planning

Prepare before you commit.

The actual location

Check the published office city. Ask whether consultation, surgery and follow-up use the same facility.

Your written quote

City worksheets use EUR. Confirm the quote’s currency, taxes, inclusions and exclusions; no local treatment prices are estimated.

Your care arrangements

Discuss alternatives, important risks, aftercare and practical support directly with the treating team. Use international resources for further questions.
