Belgian Order of Physicians — Find a doctor

Open the official resource ↗

The Belgian Order of Physicians offers a public search for individual doctors registered on its list; medical centres and group practices are not themselves listed as individual doctors. Ask the treating clinician to explain their recognised specialist qualification and authorisation to practise, as these should not be inferred from a clinic brand or a cosmetic treatment advertisement. For a consultation, prepare questions about the proposed operation, realistic limits, alternatives, anaesthesia and recovery. Identify the actual hospital or operating facility, the surgeon responsible and the arrangements for complications and follow-up. Request an itemised written quotation and check which language will be used for consent, written instructions and postoperative communication.

Search the named doctor and ask for confirmation of the recognised specialist title and authorisation to practise.

03 / Consultation planning

Prepare before you commit.

The actual location

Check the published office city. Ask whether consultation, surgery and follow-up use the same facility.

Your written quote

City worksheets use EUR. Confirm the quote’s currency, taxes, inclusions and exclusions; no local treatment prices are estimated.

Your care arrangements

Discuss alternatives, important risks, aftercare and practical support directly with the treating team. Use international resources for further questions.
