02 / Before you book

Start with the essentials.

Four checks to bring to a consultation in Brazil.

01

Check CRM + RQE.

Search the doctor’s name or CRM. Confirm an active São Paulo registration and the registered specialty Cirurgia Plástica with its RQE.

CREMESP register ↗
02

Understand the plan.

Ask about intended benefits, limitations, alternatives and risks in your circumstances. Bring your medical history and read the consent information before deciding.

SBCP: risks & safety ↗
03

Confirm the setting.

Ask which hospital or surgical facility will be used, who provides anaesthesia and how complications are managed. A clinic address is not necessarily the operating location.

SBCP: choosing a surgeon ↗
04

Plan the follow-up.

Request written recovery instructions, follow-up appointments and an urgent contact. If travelling, ask how long to stay locally and when travel is appropriate for you.

SBCP: your health ↗

The consultation mindset

The right question is personal.

A photograph, a famous face or a popular procedure cannot define your treatment plan. Describe what bothers you, the change you hope for and the limits you would accept. Ask what a procedure would leave unchanged, and whether delaying treatment or doing nothing is a reasonable option. Prepare your consultation →

03 / Procedure conversations

Explore the questions.

A starting point for discussion with a qualified clinician. These guides do not determine eligibility or recommend a procedure.

01

Rhinoplasty

Shape and breathing are distinct concerns to bring into the same conversation. Start with your priorities and previous nasal history.

Ask at consultationHow would the proposed plan address appearance, breathing and existing asymmetry?
CPS rhinoplasty guide →
02

Eyelid surgery

The upper and lower eyelids need separate discussion. Ask which concern the assessment identifies and what the options involve.

Ask at consultationWhich eyelid structures are involved, and what should I understand about eye comfort and lid function?
Upper vs lower eyelids →
03

Facial rejuvenation

Discuss facial shape, skin quality and the areas that matter to you. The consultation should explain the limits of each approach.

Ask at consultationWhich changes would this approach address? Where would scars be, and what limitations would remain?
Anatomy and natural-looking results →
04

Breast augmentation

Discuss desired volume, shape and available approaches. Ask about the longer-term plan as well as the initial procedure.

Ask at consultationWhat follow-up, implant-related risks and possible future procedures should I consider?
Lift vs augmentation →
05

Breast lift

Bring your questions about position, shape and volume. Ask how a lift differs from an augmentation in your particular case.

Ask at consultationWhat changes in shape, scars and sensation should I discuss before deciding?
Compare breast procedures →
06

Body contouring

Identify the areas you want to discuss and your previous treatments. Ask the clinician to distinguish the concerns each option addresses.

Ask at consultationWhat are the trade-offs between the proposed approaches, including recovery and scars?
Prepare for a consultation →

04 / A published cost reference

Understand the hospital component.

Hospital Sírio-Libanês · Bela Vista, São Paulo · Brazilian reais (BRL).

Hospital charges only. These are not total surgery prices, city averages or Dr. Sampaio’s fees.
Published Bela Vista packages · source checked 30 September 2026
Procedure / packageHospital charge (BRL)Theatre allowance / stay
Eyelids · local + sedationR$ 6,014.342 h / up to 12 h
Liposuction · 2-hour packageR$ 9,239.552 h / up to 12 h
Reduction / mastopexy ± implantR$ 12,332.044 h / 1 day
AbdominoplastyR$ 14,628.235 h / 1 day

Medical professional fees, including surgeon and anaesthetist, are excluded. Implants, special materials and tests are excluded unless specified. Overruns, extra stays or complications may change charges. Request a written, individual quote. Hospital’s full terms ↗

Compare the whole plan.

A useful quote tells you who is charging for each part of your care, what is included and what could change. Use the notebook below to organise your own figures. Leave unknown amounts blank and ask for clarification rather than treating a hospital package as the final total.

05 / The consultation notebook

Arrive with better questions.

Two simple planning tools for your São Paulo consultation. Use them to organise a discussion and a written quote with your treating team.

Prepare your conversation

Consultation checklist

Tick a topic once you have a clear answer. Bring any unanswered questions to your clinician.

Questions to discuss with your treating team

A discussion aid, not a medical assessment. No answers or personal health details are collected.

Read the whole quote

Your BRL budget worksheet

Enter amounts from your own quote or estimates. Every field starts empty; this worksheet does not suggest prices.

Keep the quote in context

Confirm whether each amount includes taxes. This tool does not add taxes, estimate rebates or fill in missing costs. Enter a fee once; if a package already includes a category, avoid counting it twice.

Blank fields are unknown, not free. An entered subtotal is not a complete treatment quote. Ask what follow-up, revisions or unexpected care may cost.

Use non-negative amounts up to BRL 1,000,000 per field, with no more than two decimal places. Figures and ticks remain only in this open page; nothing is sent or saved by these tools.

06 / The national perspective

Brazil, in numbers.

ISAPS Global Survey 2025. National estimates provide context—not a measure of an individual clinic.

07 / City planning

Make room for recovery.

Practical questions for people who live in São Paulo and those travelling for a consultation.

Before travel

Confirm the address.

Ask whether your appointment is at the Bela Vista clinic or another location. Confirm the clinician, appointment language and documents required before arranging transport or accommodation.

During your stay

Plan practical support.

Discuss accompaniment, getting home and assistance with everyday tasks. Ask which arrangements should be in place before the treatment date, and who coordinates your return appointments.

After your visit

Know who to contact.

Keep the treating team’s written instructions and contact information. Confirm how concerns are handled outside normal hours. The magazine’s enquiry channel handles editorial matters and cannot provide clinical follow-up.

08 / Frequently asked

The useful
answers.

A few points to clarify before you contact a clinic.

How do I check a plastic surgeon in Brazil?

Search the CFM or CREMESP public register by name or CRM. Check the active registration, state and registered specialty with its RQE. This page links the registers; it is not a live registry certificate.

Are the hospital prices the full cost?

No. Use the table only as a reference for one component of a written quote. Confirm all other charges directly with the hospital and treating team before making a financial commitment.

Can I read the clinic’s Google reviews?

Use the Google Maps link or load the current rating and count when the page is live. A rating reflects user feedback; it does not establish professional credentials or predict your result.

Can I switch this page to Portuguese?

Yes. Choose Português at the top of the page for the full Brazilian Portuguese edition, including forms and planning tools. The English version remains available through the same language control.

Does CPS book medical appointments?

The clinic’s telephone, WhatsApp and website links connect you directly to the practice. The separate CPS form is for magazine enquiries, profile corrections, claiming a profile and applications for editorial consideration.
